Gary Carney

Gary L. Carney, 65, of Cheyenne went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2012 in Cheyenne. He was born May 15, 1947 in Fort Collins, CO to William and Lorena Carney. He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #6. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, bull and bronc riding, family vacations and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by daughters, Courtney (Christopher) Cabanag of Cheyenne, Lorena (Richard) Tucker of Cheyenne, Ashley Carney of Cheyenne; son, Robert (Shanita) Carney of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Jazlynn, Jayla, Hannah, Hezekiah, Cristopher, Ariez, Sariah, Teagan and Jacob; sisters, Judy Martin of Broomfield, CO, Linda (Darrell) Stewart of Cheyenne, Patsy Kauffman of Tucson, AZ; former wife and friend, Teresa Carney of Cheyenne, and his faithful companions, Moe, Joe, Bo, Scooter and Crawl. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Dixie Lee Mervis and Gene Morgan Carney. A Celebration of Life will be Friday 10:00 a.m. at Sunnyside Baptist Church with Pastor Max Janzen officiating. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home and his urn will be interred in Lakeside Cemetery in Loveland, CO. Those who wish may contribute to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, 800 Southwest Dr., Cheyenne, WY 82007 Services are under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
