Gary Standish

Gary Standish, 63, of Cheyenne, died April 30, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Gary was born on April 14, 1954, in Southington, CT. Gary proudly served in three branches of the United States Military, retiring from the United States Army with the rank of Command Sergeant Major in 2006. Gary was an avid runner but most of all loved spending time with his family. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Roberta; children, Marcy (Ray) Heil, Tyler (Jodi) Standish; grandchildren, Zoey and Zayden Heil and Talon Standish; sisters, Priscilla Badgley of Winterhaven, FL, and Doreen Standish of Bellingham, WA; brother, Joseph (Anna) Standish of Suwanee, GA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Joyce (Gaithel) Gilchriest, Kerry (Mark) Bullington and Linda (Doyle) Cox; and many loving nieces and nephews. A memory service will be celebrated on Monday, May 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kiwanis Community House. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Team Red, White and Blue or the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
