Gerald E. "Jerry" Christ

Mr. Gerald E. "Jerry" Christ, 62, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado. Mr. Christ was born October 25, 1949, in Salina, Kansas, a son of the late Benjamin G. and Doris L. (Larson) Christ. Jerry graduated from Laramie High School and attended the University of Wyoming. He was a diesel and automotive mechanic for over 30 years, owning and operating Jerry's Auto Service and Electric. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Crystal L. (Jones) Christ of Cheyenne; four children, Rebecca I. Snook of Las Vegas, NV, Elizabeth A. Fredrickson of Cheyenne, Gerald G. Christ of Cheyenne, and Jennifer L. Barentine of San Antonio, TX; two sisters, Sharon Shankel of Overland Park, KS, and Rhonda Gifford of Gering, NE; and ten grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. His family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lincolnway Chapel, Cheyenne. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
