Gerald "Jerry" Wilson

Gerald “Jerry” R. Wilson, 82, of Cheyenne passed away October 10, 2021, in Cheyenne at his home.

He was born May 28, 1939, in Osage County, OK to Alvin and Mary Wilson. He married Anita Bevc on June 16, 1972, in Reno, NV. He was a teacher for over thirty years and a veteran of the US Army. He also worked in construction and in the oil field.

Jerry is survived by his wife Anita Wilson of Cheyenne;  children: Michelle Bellini of Cheyenne, Elizabeth Hastings of Mexico, Bryan (Brittany) Wilson of Cheyenne and siblings, Howard (Nanci) Wilson of New Jersey, Kenneth (Pam) Wilson of New Mexico, Robert (Rudy) Wilson of California, Stephen Wilson of Casper and Theresa Ann (Barry) Olsen of Montana; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jerry loved his family, fishing, hunting, hiking, and other outdoor activities. He took great delight in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mary Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish, may contribute to the VA Chaplain’s Fund.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Schrader Reception Center in Cheyenne.
