Graham Parfitt, 18, of Cheyenne died April 2, 2013 near Lusk, WY. He was born May 16, 1994 in Lander, WY to Todd and Kim Parfitt. Graham was a student at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He was an Order of the Arrow Eagle Scout with the Boy Scout Troop 116, All-State swimmer, member of the State Championship Science Olympiad Teams, and percussionist for both marching and jazz bands at Central High School. He also participated with the Wyoming All-State Marching Band. He built the footbridge at Hynd's Lodge at Curt Gowdy State Park. He loved Celtic music, hiking, mountain biking, playing his drums and anything to do with science. He was a gifted writer of fantasy stories and a voracious reader. Graham was a gift of joy; always optimistic, and supremely compassionate. He was dearly loved by family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Todd and Kim Parfitt of Cheyenne; sister, Kelsey Parfitt of Cheyenne; grandmothers, Walta Parfitt of Rocky River, OH and Barbara Palmer of Berea, OH. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Roger T. Parfitt and Allan B. Palmer. Memorial Services will be Saturday 3:00 p.m. at Storey Gym. Reception will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Central High School Commons. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
