Harvey M. Humphrey, 89, of Cheyenne passed away Feb. 19 at Life Care Center of Cheyenne. He was born March 9, 1922, in Burns, Wyoming to Harvey and Ruby Humphrey. He served in the USMC during World War II and returned to Cheyenne to raise a family. He was a 64 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 415 where he was employed at Simpson Electric and at the Frontier Refinery when he retired in 1982. He enjoyed camping with his friends in Wyoming's mountains, and coaching little league baseball and later coaching men's softball where he was very competitive. He is survived by his children, son Harvey and wife Jerrie of Burns, Jeannie Acton and husband Jim of Burns and Debra K. Dunn and husband Don of Homeland, CA, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers; Bill and his wife, Carol of Cheyenne, Gary and his wife Irene of Burns, and sisters Dorothy of Artisa, NM and Norma of Kimball, NE. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Johannah May in 2004, parents Harvey and Ruby, two brothers, Delbert and Kent, and four sisters, Amy, Mary, Leona and Patricia. As per his wishes there will be no services and cremation has taken place at Schrader Funeral Home.
