Mrs. Hazel Shaw Miller, 84, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 6, 2015, at the Davis Hospice Center. Mrs. Miller was born February 20, 1930, in Lockesburg, Arkansas, a daughter of the late William N. and Ethel (Masterson) Shaw. Hazel worked for a landscaping company where she enjoyed caring for flowers and plants. She also enjoyed reading, camping and gardening. She resided with her daughter, Phyllis, and son-in-law, Marvin, for a period of time prior to living at Sierra Hills Assisted Living. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Hazel is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Barrington of Cheyenne; her son, William Van Voast of Alabama; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Miller; and four siblings, Gilbert Shaw, Doyle Shaw, Opal Bell and Omalee Gibbons. Services and interment will be held in Arkansas at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne.
