Helen Clark, 85, of Cheyenne died October 20, 2014, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born October 26, 1928, in Ashby, Nebraska, to the late Silas and Vertie Townsend. She retired from Laramie County Community College and the Wyoming Department of Agriculture. She graduated from Laramie County Community College and the University of Wyoming. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mizpah Chapter #36, and Order of the Eastern Star which she was a past Worthy Matron She was also a member of Past Matron's Club, Past President of the Women's Club of Cheyenne, member of X-JWC, Federated Women's Club (past State President 2000-2002), Daughters of the Nile, and the Graphology Club. She also volunteered for Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Wyoming State Museum, the Tribute to the First Ladies of Wyoming. and she sewed costumes for Hands in Harmony. "She was always busy". She is survived by her three children, James Clark, Judy (Mike) Koritnik and Pam (Dirk) Patton; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Richard Clark; a brother; and a sister. Those who wish may contribute the Shriner's Hospital for Children, Fairfax at Virginia St., Salt Lake City, Utah 84103. A memory service will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home, 2222 Russell Avenue, with a reception to follow in the Schrader Reception Center. Private burial will be in Memorial Gardens. Services are under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
