Helen Crist

Florence "Helen" Crist, 79, of Cheyenne, died September 11, 2014 at Davis Hospice Center. She was born December 2, 1934 in Rushville, Nebraska to Everett and Margaret Colwell. She married Marvin Crist on May 29, 1960 in Rushville, NE. She was a homemaker and also a taught school in Riverton, WY. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, coaching softball, dancing and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Marvin Crist of Cheyenne; children Kevin (Aimee) Crist of New York City and Kara (David) Acton of Cheyenne; and four grandchildren, Leila and Chloe Crist and Anthony and Addison Acton; Her siblings Mark (Joan) Colwell, Doris (Clayton) Tallon of Rushville, NE, Floyd (Mildred) Colwell of Alliance, NE, Charlie Colwell of White Clay, NE Roy (Nancy) Colwell of Rushville, NE, and Jerry Colwell of Omaha, NE She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sonja Crist, sister, Kay Ehrmann and her parents. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Beth El Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First United Methodist Church in memory of Helen Crist.
