Helen Johnson

Helen Louise (Kolkman) Johnson, 84, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away September 7, 2015, at the Aspen House in Loveland, Colorado. Helen was born January 14, 1931, to Harry A. Kolkman and Mary Goff Kolkman in Bristol, South Dakota. She married Gale O. Johnson on May 11, 1951, in Cheyenne. They had one son, Greg G. Johnson. Helen began working for Rocky Mountain Federal Bank in 1955 and continued in banking until her retirement. She was a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church and Cheyenne Quota Club. Helen is survived by her sister, Marilynn Steinbronn of Eston, Saskatchewan, Canada, and her brothers, Jim Kolkman of Rapid City, SD, Bob Kolkman of Elko, NV, and Rick Kolkman of Cheyenne. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gale; her son, Greg; her sister, Darlys; and brothers, Wilfred and Don. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Helen's honor to St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, September 11, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Roger Rapp officiating. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
