A celebration of life will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with Dr. Maysck officiating. An interment service will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Henrietta Gay Brown, 97, passed away December 17, 2009, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. She was born October 18, 1912, in Boswell, Oklahoma. Henrietta graduated from Breste High School and completed two years of school at college level. She belonged to Tabernacle Baptist Church, Eastern Star, Lodge, Daughters of Isisis, and Daughters of Darcus. She was a member of Patrons and Matrons of Oklahoma City, OK. Her favorite Bible verse was Blessed are the pure in the heart, for they shall see God. She enjoyed a great life full of socializing and many friends. She was also a homemaker and an avid traveler. Henrietta is survived by a daughter, Eva Gay Fails and her husband, James, of Cheyenne; a son, Alva Brown and family of Denver, CO; a son, David Brown of Los Angeles, CA; a son, Kenneth Manis of Dallas, TX; a daughter, Geraldine Gooden of Los Angeles; Fay Lindsey of Oakland, CA, and Ella Jones of Berkley, CA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A grandson, Tony Emmett and wife, Shirley, with Henrietta Collier and Dorthy Carter are family companions who took care of her when she traveled to Oklahoma. Henrietta is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Georgia Vincint; daughters, Doris Robinson and Leola Cole; a son, Robert Gay; three brothers; five sisters; her first husband, Clenard Gay; and her second husband, David Brown.
