Henry "Gene" Schoneberg

April 7, 1935 — December 8, 2019

Henry “Gene” Schoneberg, 84, loving husband and father of two, passed away December 8, 2019.

Gene was born April 7,1935, in Cheyenne.  He was a chief master sergeant in the Air National Guard, and served for a total of 41 years. He was a proud member of the guard and made many life-long friends there.

Gene was an adoring and devoted husband to his wife, Marlene, for 65 years. He was a humble and kind soul that lit up every room he entered. Once you met him, you would never forget his warm smile or his always present crew cut. He was fun-loving and enjoyed spending his time playing golf, watching sports (Go Pokes), being at his cabin in Glendo that he built, or visiting his children and grandchildren with Marlene and their dog, Sadie.

Gene will be fondly remembered by many, and is survived by daughter, Sherry (son-in-law, Jim); son-in-law, Kyle (daughter, Kathy, passed in 2018); grandchildren, Katie (Ryan), Gene, Nick (Allison) and Allison (Taylor); and great-grandchildren, Marlee and Kennedy.
