Hermine McMechan

 Hermine (Karin) McMechan peacefully passed away on 12/04/2023. She was born in Budapest, Hungary on 08/20/1940 to Paul Dorner and Anna Reitter. She came to the United States in 1963 to a new life and family. For most of her life she was a CNA, taking care of people in facilities and private homes. She cherished her home, it was always decorated with all her favorite things, she had one room that was full of stuffed animals and dolls. Karin loved to garden and always had the most beautiful yard. Her second passion was to take care of her stray cats, she rescued "Goofy" who lived for 22 years.

Karin was a fantastic cook, her kraut-burgers, potato salad, and spaghetti were the family favorites. Karin never knew a stranger; she was generous to all she loved and a little sassy for those she didn't. She became a United States citizen in 1993 and was so very proud of that.

Karin was preceded in death by her Dad and Mom, her brothers, Paul and Carl and her sisters, Margaret and Anni.

She is survived by her four children, Alexandria Taylor, Robert Lee, Michael Lee, and (Karen) Michelle Roberts. Her seven grandchildren, Kelli Mullikin, Casey Mullikin, Aidan Taylor, Joshua Larsen, Kaylee Roberts, Tyler Roberts and Crystal Lee. And her three great-grandgirls, Oaklyn Mullikin, Lyla Mullikin, and Emma Louann Roemer.

Her cremation has taken place, and she requested no service.
