Hubert Cooper

Hubert Eugene Cooper, 93, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Hubert was born October 20, 1922, in Monroe, Iowa, a son of the late Roy J. and Lula Sara (Amer) Cooper. Hubert married Katherine May Ivy on October 31, 1942, in Kimball, NE. He worked on several ranches and in the early 1950s, he began working in construction. He was a heavy equipment operator and retired from Laramie County Road and Bridge as a supervisor. His many interests included hunting, fishing and camping. Hubert is survived by four children, Joyce (Charles) Buchholtz of Cheyenne, Vicky (Robert) Cooper of Calhan, CO, Ron (Vicki) Cooper of Cheyenne, and David (Norma) Cooper of Henderson, NV; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Katherine M. Cooper; and three sisters, Wanda Ver Sure, Wilma Stringer and Catherine McCoy. A memory service will be celebrated on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. An interment service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park.
