Ivan D. Stoner, 90, of Hillsdale, Wyoming, died Monday afternoon, October 17, 2016, in Cheyenne. Ivan was born December 25, 1925, in Siam, Iowa, and grew up in Hillsdale, Wyoming, graduating from high school there in 1944. He married June Milburn on December 14, 1946. He was a member of Hillsdale Methodist Church for 74 years. He worked in maintenance for the Union Pacific Railroad for more than 30 years. He loved repairing and making things work. Ivan was a member of the Burns Masonic Lodge #41 for over 50 years. He loved music and singing in the church choir. He didn't know a stranger. His greatest joy was helping his family and was proud of all of them. Ivan is survived by his children, Kathleen (David) Cromley, Steven (Carolyn) Stoner, Edwin (Patty) Stoner, and Kristine Dunlap; brother, Donald (Joan) Stoner; sisters, Viva Reese, Norma (Joe) Olguin, and Pat (Tim) Hood; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, June; one brother; and one sister; and one great-great grandson. A memory service will be celebrated on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
