Jack Barnes

Jack A. Barnes, 63, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at home surrounded by his daughters and close friends. Jack was born January 23, 1955, in Gunnison, Colorado, a son of the late Harvey W. and Lillian A. (Freeman) Barnes. Jack was an extremely hard worker, ranching most of his life while also working as a welder and a mechanic. His interests included gambling and having coffee with his friends. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. Jack is survived by his daughters, Joy (Chad) DeRenzo and Jana (Nick) Wise; five brothers and sisters; and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his best friend, Tom; and his beloved dog, Yogi. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Schrader Reception Center. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Jack Barnes Memorial Fund, 2206 Helen Avenue, Cheyenne, WY 82007.
