James Michael Krasovich, aged 76, passed away on April 21, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born on November 19, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, James led a life defined by dedication, service, and a passionate commitment to his family and community.
He had a distinguished career in Information Systems and Computer Programming, where his expertise benefited prominent companies such as Huskey Oil, Atlantic Richfield Company, and the State of Wyoming. His professional journey demonstrated not only his technical acumen but also his ability to contribute meaningfully to the organizations he served.
An alumnus of Assumption Abbey High School in Richardton, North Dakota, James furthered his education by obtaining numerous degrees from Parks School of Business, Community College of Denver, and Metro State College. His pursuit of knowledge reflected his belief in constant growth and improvement.
James also honorably served in the United States Army for four years, including two tours in Vietnam, before his discharge in 1970. This period of military service instilled a sense of discipline and respect that characterized his later community involvement.
James was actively engaged in numerous hobbies and interests throughout his life. He found joy in fishing, hunting, gardening, and woodworking, each providing him with opportunities to relax and share cherished moments with family and friends. His passion for the outdoors and craftsmanship were a testament to his creative spirit.
In addition to his career and hobbies, James was immensely proud of his accomplishments in community service. He served as a Scout Master, earning the District Award of Merit in 1982, and was honored with the prestigious 4th Degree from the Knights of Columbus. His commitment to the community was further recognized by receiving a community service award from Atlantic Richfield Company for his contributions to the community of Black Thunder Mine. And also served on the Town Council and Planning & Zoning commission for the town of Wright WY.
James leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marita Krasovich, and their three sons: Tony, Chris, and Mike Krasovich. He also cherishes the memories of his daughters-in-law Christina, Tinisha, and Sarah, alongside his nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who were a source of immense pride and joy. In addition, he is mourned by his brother, Ed Krasovich Jr., sister, Mary Ward, and numerous nieces and nephews, all who held a special place in his heart.
Preceding him in death were his father, Ed Krasovich Sr.; mother, Rita Krasovich; sister, Lillian Krasovich; brother, Richard Krasovich; and twin brothers, Gerard and Jerome Krasovich.
The Rosary will be held on April 28, 2025, at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home in Cheyenne, Wyoming, beginning at 5:30 PM. A Mass in his honor will follow at the Church of the Holy Trinity, starting at 12:30 PM on April 29, 2025. After the Mass, James will be laid to rest at Cheyenne National Cemetery, with burial commencing at 2:00 PM. A reception will take place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the same day.
James Michael Krasovich's life was a profound example of integrity and dedication. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
