James Ogle

James Ross Ogle, 88, of Burns, Wyoming, passed away at home on Friday, February 17, 2012. Jim was born March 22, 1923 in Newton, Kansas, to William and Martha Ogle. His family, Frances, Opal, Bill along with their parents moved to Wyoming when the children were small. After Jim graduated from Burns High School with the class of 1941, he served in Japan with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II He married Bernetta Goertz on June 22, 1952 in Wheatland, WY. The couple lived and farmed north of Burns. Survivors include his wife Bernetta, three daughters, Betty Jo Stiffney of Ten Sleep, WY, Kathy Henry of Milliken, CO, and Carol McCoy of Bakersfield, CA, one son Gary Ogle of Burns, WY, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. at Golden Prairie Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Moore officiating. Private interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
