James A. “Jim” Reher, Sr., 78, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away on October 2, 2021 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Jim was born November 6, 1942 in Kimball, Nebraska, a son of the late Alfred A. and Pauline R. (Benson) Reher.
Jim served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Elizabeth C. “Liz” Kelly on August 1, 1962 and recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad as a Conductor for 36 years, retiring in 2004. Everyone who met him thought the world of him. He will be remembered as an out-going, generous and well-liked individual who loved his family and adored his wife.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Liz Reher; brother, Dennis (Bev) Reher; son, Jim (Jenni) Reher, Jr.; daughter, Marnie Reher; granddaughter, Paige (Jameson) Pate; two grandsons, Mason and Hudson; and twin grandchildren on the way.
A graveside service will be celebrated on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Olivet Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home, 2222 Russell Avenue, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001.
