James Valdez

James Valdez, Sr., 84, of Cheyenne passed away August 12, 2019 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born September 11, 1934 in Cleveland, NM to Furgencio and Clorinda Valdez. He was retired from the Union Pacific Railroad and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He is survived by his children, James (Jennifer) Valdez, Jr. of Arvada, CO and Paul Valdez of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Jamie (Fernando) DeLeon, Justina Johnson, Jordan (Jysikka) Valdez and Jackline (Parker) Stokke; great-grandchildren, Corina, Aiden, Lincoln and Faye; former wife, Carmen Ornelas; siblings, Erminia Dominguez of Cheyenne, Florida Archuleta of Las Vegas, NM, Jenny Valdez of Las Vegas, NM and Alfonso Valdez of Cleveland, NM; numerous nieces and nephews and his furry friend, Eddie. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Floyd Valdez, Furgencio Valdez and Paul Valdez. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Joseph's Food Pantry.
