Jane Gilbertson

Jane Lydia Piper Gilbertson died at the Davis Hospice Center May 14, 2014. She was born on April 16, 1938 to George Piper and Eleanor Wepling Piper in Chicago, Illinois. Jane attended school in Casper and graduated from NCHS. She married Wallace Krusee in Casper and they had two sons Wallace Charles Krusee and Stanley Edgar Krusee (deceased) and one daughter Kay Dawn Krusee (deceased). Jane graduated from Nursing School in California and has been employed in the medical field all of her adult life. She was a dedicated and loving caregiver always thinking of others before herself. She traveled to Honduras and to Louisiana (Katrina) to assist those in need.In 1992 Jane married Gerry Gilbertson in Sparks, NV Jane was very active in her church, Saint Christopher's Episcopal in Cheyenne. She loved skiing, the outdoors, hiking and vacationing at Lake Tahoe, NV and she was an avid Raiders fan. She was born in a family of eight children, Emil and his wife Alice, Alice, Evelyn and her husband Bob, Roseanne and her husband Mick, Marie and her husband Gordon (deceased), Patricia and her husband Sam and Marty and her husband Bob. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, three sisters and daughter, Kay Dawn and son, Stanley. She is survived by her very loving husband, Gerry Gilbertson and loving, caring son Wallace Krusee; daughters in law, Leanne Krusee and Tammy Hawley, plus numerous nieces and nephews, including Todd Ellis Cremation has taken place at Schrader's Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at St Christopher's Church on Saturday, May 17th at 11 am. Memorials may be made to the Davis Hospice Center or the Comea Shelter.
