Janet Ford, age 69 of Cheyenne, Wyoming died June 19, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Jacqueline Corklin. Survived by her husband, Glenn Ford of 38 years, son Joe Ford and Granddaughters Myklynn and Luella, sisters Julie (Dave Risha), Jamie Corklin and many nieces and nephews.
Janet was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming and attended East High School, University of Wyoming. Janet pursued a career in court reporting and was a freelance and official court reporter for 36 years throughout Wyoming and New Mexico. She retired in 2017 and returned to Wyoming and enjoyed life on the new place on North Crow Creek.
Janet’s favorite things were her grandchildren, rodeos, horseback riding, crocheting for loved ones, crafting, bird and wildlife watching on the ranch, and antique collecting. She loved to fish in the Snowy Range lakes for their beauty. Lake Owen and Rob Roy Reservoir were close to the family cabin and she was successful with catching big trout. She loved talking to her friends and hearing about their life stories.
Services will be on July 7, 2024 at Schraders Funeral Home for the friends and family gathering, at 4:00 pm and church services will be July 8, 2024 at Cathedral of St. Mary beginning at 10 am.
