Mrs. Janice M. Bollinger, 89, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 25, 2015, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Bollinger was born October 10, 1925, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, a daughter of the late Carl and Henrietta (Fridley) Sandquist. Janice was a homemaker who cared for her disabled husband who was injured while serving his country during World War II in Iwo Jima. She was an active volunteer at the Veterans Hospital in Waco, TX, volunteering over 2500 hours. She was also a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, DAV, Gold Star Wives, Waco Doll Club, and Order of Eastern Star. She moved to Cheyenne in September 2012. Janice is survived by three children, Pearl Eldredge of Ashton, Beulah Jones of Cheyenne, and William Bollinger of Aurora, CO; a sister; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son; a brother; a sister; a grandson; and a great-grandson. A memory service will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home.
