Cremation will take place at Schrader’s Sunset Park Crematory. Services will be held in Casper at a later date. Mrs. Jean G. (Furlong) Bergman, 87, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away Thursday evening, February 11, 2010, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. Mrs. Bergman was born August 22, 1922, in Casper, the daughter of the late Michael and Gladys (McLean) Furlong. She graduated from Natrona County High School and lived most of her life in Casper. On November 29, 1943, she married Dayrell A. (Bud) Bergman at the Base Chapel in Casper where he was stationed. She moved to Cheyenne in 2005. Jean was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Casper. She was employed as an Executive Secretary for Teton Exploration for 16 years. Her many interests included playing bridge as a member of several bridge clubs, traveling, boating and reading. Mrs. Bergman is survived by her son, Stephen Bergman and wife, Monika, of Casper; her daughter, Penny Reed and husband, Gordon, of Cheyenne; three grandchildren, Stewart Reed and wife, Joy, of Cheyenne, Stephanie Seebaum and husband, Matt, of Denver, and Patrick Bergman and wife, Rachelle, of Sleepy Eye, MN; and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Dayrell A. Bergman on December 6, 1985.
