Jean Brown

November 10, 1935 — October 11, 2019

Jean Mary Brown, 83, passed away peacefully at Davis Hospice Center on October 11, 2019, with her family by her side. She was born November 10, 1935 with triplet sisters in Seattle, Washington to Edgar and Ruth Meyers. Her family eventually settled In Cheyenne, where she graduated from Cheyenne High in 1954, met and married her hero, Wayne, the same year, and lived a wonderful life for the next 65 years. A creative multi-media artist and designer with her business The North Country Studio, Jean's presence and work is widely recognized regionally in shows and galleries, even adorning the office walls of U. S. Senators Milward Simpson and Clifford Hanson in Washington, D.C. When she wasn't traveling with Wayne in search of antiques and collectibles, she raised and cared for about every farm animal imaginable, sharing critter passion with grandchildren and 4-H kids. Many of her animals became subjects for art lessons taught by Jean to seniors and youth in Cheyenne. Other travels sent them to State Fairs, including becoming a Grand Champion Ladies Lead Class Champion showing a ewe sheep, Questers Antique Study Group, Class of 1954 Cheyenne High reunion committees, as a leader of 4-H kids and the First Congregational Church youth group. She is survived by husband, Wayne; son, Dennis and wife, Terri; grandchildren, Kendra, Cameron and Clay; five great-grandchildren; and Meyers siblings, Edgar, John and Joyce. She proudly showed her faith in Christ and resides in Heaven with those who preceded her in death, son, Gregg; a very special granddaughter, Katie; her parents; and sister, Elaine. Daisies and donations will be forwarded to causes dear to Jean's heart, such as Stonecroft Ministries and Cheyenne Evangelical Free Church. It was a beautiful life for a beautiful person. She never met a stranger. Jean Brown will be celebrated in memorial at 1:00 p.m., October 24th at Cheyenne Evangelical Free Church.
