Jean Georges

Jean R. Georges, 87, of Cheyenne died July 4, 2015 in Cheyenne. She was born December 21, 1927 in Wellington, CO to Dietrich and Clara Rohwer. She married Perry Georges on September 20, 1953 in Green River, WY and together they owned and operated Grier Furniture Store. She was also a teller/bookkeeper for American National Bank. She was a member of Cheyenne Country Club, where she was an avid golfer and loved to play bridge, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a volunteer for the Pink Boutique. She loved her family and was very generous to the community, especially in helping with furthering the education for her family and friends. She is survived by a brother, Charles Rohwer of Cheyenne and numerous nieces and nephews, including Rick Durante of Cheyenne, who was like a son to her. She was preceded by her husband, Perry Georges; her parents and siblings, Dorothy Nickel and Richard Rohwer. Visitation will be Wednesday noon-7:00 p.m. at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with Father Augustine Carrillo officiating. Interment will follow in Beth El Cemetery followed by a reception in the Schrader Reception Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Wyoming, 2232 Dell Range Boulevard, Suite 220, Cheyenne, WY 82009.
