A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 21,2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church with Father George Gartelos officiating. An interment service will follow at Beth El Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home with a Trisagion Service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Schrader Chapel. Mrs. Jennie Helen (Xenos) Mones, 89, of Cheyenne, passed away late Saturday evening, July 17, 2010, at the Life Care Center of Cheyenne. Mrs. Mones was born February 24, 1921, in Cheyenne, a daughter of the late George and Antonia Xenos. Jennie was proud of her accomplishments at the Veterans Affairs Center of Cheyenne, serving as Chief of Volunteer Services for 16 years and retiring after 30 years of faithful service. She will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker where she loved cooking and baking. She also enjoyed sharing her artistic talents with her family and especially loved spending time with her grandson, George. Mrs. Mones is survived by her daughter, Marie Pitt of Cheyenne; her son, Charles Mones of Cheyenne; and a grandson, George Pitt. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George P. Mones on November 11, 2001; one brother; and four sisters. Pallbearers will be Charles Mones,George Pitt and Gust Nicholson. Expressions of sympathy in Jennie’s memory may be made to the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church or to the Salvation Army.
