Jimmie Thornton

Jimmie Ludia Thornton, 87, of Cheyenne passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 16, 1928 in Smackover, Arkansas to Wadell and Mary Beal. She married Francis J. Thornton and worked as a medical technologist at the Veteran's Affairs Hospital for 30 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Cowgirls of the West, Zonta, X-JWC and the Order of Eastern Star. She had many friends all over the world and had a passion for her genealogy. She is survived by her son, Stuart (Delma) Thornton; grandson, Joel; great-granddaughter, Mallouri; step-granddaughters, Cicely, Alana, and Leslie and numerous others. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Francis; and 2 infant grandsons. A Memory Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Interment of her urn will be in Goldonna, LA at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
