Jimmy Musgrove

Jimmy J. Musgrove, 75, of Cheyenne passed away on September 7, 2016 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Born August 19, 1941 in Kirkville, IA to Phillip and Elsie Musgrove. He married Cynthia McCall on September 7, 1974 in Ottumwa, IA. He retired from the US Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper. He coached Little League for 16 years and was an active leader of Boy Scouts and Brownie Troops. He enjoyed playing many bluegrass instruments at many family gatherings. Survived by his wife, Cynthia Musgrove of Cheyenne; children, Brenda Baker, Paul Musgrove, Wayne (Nancy) Musgrove all of Cheyenne, Julie (Matt) Phillips of Seward, NE, Shawn (Danielle) Musgrove of Ft. Collins, CO; sister, Midge (Harley) Armstrong of Ottumwa, IA; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Betty Jacquinot, Irene Napier, Bud Hoover and Dode Lambert. Visitation will be Sunday 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday 2:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Beth El Cemetery.
