Joel Schuetz

Joel R. Schuetz, 68, of Cheyenne died December 31, 2011 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born February 15, 1943 in Bridgeport, NE to Phillip and Virginia Schuetz. He married Pam Atchison on July 7, 1968 in Bridgeport, NE. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Cheyenne Frontier Days Grounds Committee, Cheyenne Frontier Days HEELs and the Airport Golf Club. He was a Hydrologist for the United States Geological Service. His favorite saying was "as I Say." He is survived by is wife, Pam Schuetz; daughters, Brenda (Ron) Fanning of Cheyenne and Wendy Pino of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Christopher Schuetz, Kevin Pino and Cody Harris all of Cheyenne; brother, Phil Schuetz of Buena Park, CA. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Schuetz, parents, Phillip and Virgina Schuetz and a brother, Bob Schuetz. A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with The Reverend Trudy Robinson and Reverend Elizabeth McVicker officiating. Those who wish may contribute to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Scholarship Fund or the Charity of their choice.
