John Campbell

John R. Campbell, 90, of Cheyenne passed away June 19, 2022 in Cheyenne.

He was born October 8, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant, MI.  He married Patricia Nickel on September 6, 2015 in Montrose, CO.  He was retired from the US Army and was a member of First Christian Church, Lifetime member of the VFW and DAV and a longtime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Campbell of Cheyenne; children, Carol Hanson of Colorado, Charles Campbell of LaGrange, GA, Barbara (Gary) Berridge of Grand Junction, CO, Sherri (Greg) Lanter of Arizona, John (Lisa) Campbell of LaGrange, GA and Jordan Campbell of Clarksville, TN; step-children, Sandy (Antonio) Diaz of Ft. Morgan, CO and James Nickel (Ryan Smith) of West Virginia; siblings, Joe Campbell of Nevada, Dick Campbell of Michigan and Bev Romans of Wisconsin; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Toni Campbell and his parents.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at First Christian Church.  Private interment will be with his first wife in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
