John "Jack" David Kallgren, 77, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 30, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Kallgren was born December 2, 1937, in Akron, Ohio, a son of the late John E. and Grace (Bonar) Kallgren. John attended Paul Smith College and the University of West Virginia. He later enlisted in the United States Navy where he completed officer's training school and flew a helicopter during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, he worked as a postal clerk for the United State Post Office and retired after 20 years of faithful service. His many interests included horseback riding, spending time on the computer, camping and fishing. John is survived by his loving wife, Shirley A. (Little) Kallgren; three children, Tamra Casavant, John A. Kallgren, and James A. Kallgren; a sister, Cyndi Chipple; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pat Swanson. A memory service will be celebrated on Friday, September 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
