JoLana Rucker

May 30, 1949 — August 4, 2016

JoLana Rucker, age 67, passed away August 4, 2016 after an 11-year battle with breast cancer. JoLana was born May 30, 1949 in North Platte, Nebraska to Clarence and Helen Sellenrick. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Keith; three children, Staci Lawson (Jeremy) of DeMotte, IN, Keith Rucker of Broomfield, CO, and Kelli Kanemoto (Keith) of Longmont, CO; stepson, Tim Rucker (Sandy) of Guffey, CO; and grandchildren, Michelle and Ian, TJ, Carla and Jack, Cody and Melissa, Jackson and Miranda, Austin, Adrian, Savannah, Jesse, Ryan and Alyssa. Her parents and two brothers, Terry and Don of Cheyenne preceded her in death. JoLana raised her family in Broomfield, CO, living there 22 years before returning to her hometown of Cheyenne where they lived for 16 years. JoLana enjoyed camping and fishing, caring for their horses, and gardening. She was not one to miss her afternoon nap or evening cocktail. A memory service will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home. A reception will follow in the Schrader Reception Center. A private interment will be held in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Donations may be sent to Poudre Valley Hospital and Medical Center of the Rockies Foundation in honor of the Cancer Center and Oncology Services.
