Joshua Anthony DuBois, known affectionately as JD, was born on March 14, 1972, in Jackson California. After a life full of adventures and enriching experiences, he passed away on August 13, 2024 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. His spirited journey was marked by boundless energy and an unwavering love for exploration that captured the hearts of everyone who knew him.

JD was a man whose adventurous spirit was contagious. He had a remarkable ability to surprise those around him, often showing up out of nowhere and inviting family and friends to embark on spontaneous hiking trips. These moments were not just outings; they were celebrations of life, filled with laughter and awe at the breathtaking sights that the world had to offer. Loving JD was effortless due to his vibrant personality, which radiated warmth and enthusiasm for every experience life presented.

His mannerisms were characterized by a genuine respect for others, an innate politeness, and a courage that even the most daunting challenges could not dull. JD approached life as if it were a captivating art form, intertwining his passions for art and music into everything he did. A loving husband to Jessica Johnson DuBois, he shared a profound bond with her, built on trust, laughter, and mutual respect. JD was the proud father of Ohana, Redemption, Destiny, Dimitri, Dakota, Xavier, and Laticia, each a part of his heart. Their lives were painted with colors of adventure, creativity, and love, and he held an unwavering commitment to nurturing their dreams and aspirations.

He is survived by his mother, Marcella Rush, and his brother, Nathan Rush, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and courage. JD will also be remembered fondly by his departed brothers, Christopher and Jeric Rush, as well as his aunt, Joyce Garcia, uncle, Fremin Baca, and beloved nana, Libbey Baker, all of whom he cherished deeply.

JD’s life will be celebrated on August 23, 2024, at Restoration Fellowship Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Viewing will start at 10:00 AM, The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a gathering at the Cheyenne Kiwanis Community House at 1:00 PM, where memories can be shared and his spirit honored.

Though he has departed this life, JD leaves behind a profound impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His adventurous spirit, compassionate heart, and genuine dedication to living life to the fullest will continue to resonate in the stories shared by his family and friends.
