Joyce Thompson

Joyce G. Thompson, 84, of Cheyenne died October 13, 2013 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO. She was born February 4, 1929 in Fergus Falls, MN to Lloyd and Gladys Vigen. She married Joseph E. Thompson, Sr. on September 12, 1969 in Cheyenne. She was a homemaker and attended the chapel at Whispering Chase. She is survived by her sons, James Johnston of Cheyenne, Jerry Johnston of Southport, NC, Steven Meyer of Cyprus, CA, Wayne Thompson of Minneapolis, MN, Robbie Meyer of Aurora, CO, Fred Sebold of Kemmerer, Gary Sebold of Tulsa, OK; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Joseph E. Thompson, Sr.; sons, Joseph E. Thompson, Jr. Mark Allen Johnston and Jeffrey Lee Johnston; her parents, and her longtime companion, Wayne Gray. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in Schrader Chapel with a reception to follow in the Schrader Reception Center. A private interment will be in Beth El Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to the American Cancer Society.
