Julia Eastman

Julia Madeline Eastman, 100, died at Companion Care in Morrison Colorado, August 12, 2011. She was a resident of Cheyenne for 69 years. Julia was born January 1, 1911 on a farm near Vermillion, South Dakota to Mr. and Mrs. John T. Dowd. Judy graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in elementary education. She taught school for 27 years in the Laramie County School District. Julia was preceded in death by her husbands Robert J. Coffey and Darius Eastman; son Robert Michael Coffey: step son Bruce Eastman, and siblings: Margaret Litzen, Kathryn Dowd of both of Cheyenne, Mary Rielly, Agnes Sloan, Johanna Schaefer and Thomas W. Dowd. Julia is survived by Patricia (Jack) Swanzy of Lakewood, CO, Maryann Coffey of Greensboro NC and step children Everett Eastman, Joyce (Bill) Stauffer, Linda (Mike) Zimmerman, Pat (Annette) Hulstrom many nieces, nephews, grand children and great grand children. Services will be held in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on Tuesday August 16, 2011. A Viewing will be held at 8:30 am until 10:00 a.m. at Schrader's Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at Saint Mary's Cathedral. Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to St. Mary's Catholic School, 2200 O'Neil Ave., Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001.
