Julie Cortez

Julie Cortez, 55 of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2022.

Julie was born on April 13, 1966, to John and Patricia Helmstadter.

Julie was a beloved wife and mother. Married to Byron Cortez and mother to Jessica, Merissa, Kayla, Krista and Dean.

Julie spent her time spoiling her eleven grandkids and caring for her many dogs. She loved spending her time at the lake camping and boating with her family and friends. She would do anything for her family and loved fiercely. Our family is so very blessed to have had her for the time we did. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents John and Patricia Helmstadter, daughter Jessica Hayes. She is survived by her husband Byron Cortez, her daughter's Merissa Lenhardt, Kayla Hayes, Krista Webb and her son Dean Newton, Her 5 granddaughters Aryanna, Lariah, Kensley, Adelynn and Willow. Her grandsons Alberto, Mason, Paxton, Logan, Colton and Darren.

Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home, 2222 Russell Avenue, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001.
