Mrs. June R. Alexander-Sylte, 92, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Monday morning, February 13, 2012, at the Davis Hopice Center in Cheyenne. Mrs. Sylte was born June 25, 1919, in Cheyenne, a daughter of the late Alvin H. and Sarah C. (Shake) Rogers. Since 1965, June worked tirelessly as a piano teacher, touching the lives of countless young people for over 29 years. Her first husband, Orval R. Alexander, passed away on October 10, 1991, and she married her second husband, Adolph Sylte on February 14, 1994. She was a, active member of the First Christian Church, the National Guild of Piano Teachers, the Wyoming Music Teachers Association, and she was affiliated with the National Music Teachers Association. June is survived by her son, Raymond L. Alexander and wife, Georgia, of Cheyenne; one grandson, Brad Alexander of Cheyenne; and two sisters, Alva M. Johnson of Laramie, WY, and Geraldine E. Lemburg of Cheyenne. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Orval R. Alexander; her second husband, Adolph Sylte; and a sister, Ethel May Rogers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, February 16th at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church with The Reverend Kurt Borgaard officiating.
