Karen Ann Craven, 68, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, formerly Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016, at her home. Karen was born July 1, 1948, in Slayton, Minnesota, a daughter of the late Lawrence L. and Elizabeth (Holinka) Gengler. Karen married Michael Craven on September 4, 1970. She worked for Minnkota Power in Grand Forks as an electrical draftsman for more than 20 years until her retirement. She moved to Cheyenne where she enjoyed numerous interests including arts and crafts, remodeling her condominium, and making jewelry. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Karen is survived by her children, Darin Craven, Troy Craven and wife, Tamara, and Tara Eastman and husband, Jerry; six grandchildren, Jakob, Hannah, Garrett, Emily, Alyssa and Christian; a brother, Douglas Gengler; and two sisters, Roxanne Fischer and Marcia Gengler. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Michael Craven. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Cremation will follow under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
