Karen Ricley

October 1, 1949 — November 2, 2015

Karen Sue Ricley, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away November 2, 2015, in Cheyenne. Karen was born October 1, 1949, in Laramie to Lon and Geraldine Miller. On March 21, 1965, she met her soul mate, Gary Ricley, whom she married on February 27, 1967. She was at her most fulfilled when spending time with family and friends, lending support to those around her, or sharing the love of Jesus Christ through her kindness and grace. Karen and Gary moved to Slater, Wyoming, in March 1999 beginning a new lifestyle on their ranch. She was the secretary at Wheatland High School for 10 years, touching the lives of all with whom she came in contact. Her trademark telephone greeting of "It's a great day at Wheatland High" was a blessing to many. She is survived by her husband, Gary of Slater, WY; children, Ronda Dimzoff of Frederick, CO, Terry Ricley of Burlingame, KS, David Ricley and Sheila Ricley, both of Cheyenne; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, November 6, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a memory service to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A reception will follow at the Schrader Reception Center.
