Karen Simmons

Karen A. Simmons, 61, of Cheyenne died August 29, 2011 in Cheyenne. She was born August 21, 1950 in Alliance, NE to Phillip and Edna Simmons. She was a member of Miracle Valley Assembly of God Church. She was a nurse. She is survived by her siblings, Patricia Hutchison of Cheyenne, Sandi Abel of Gering, NE, Richard Simmons of Bayard, NE, Betty Warford of Warsaw, MO and Jim Simmons of Cibold, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Donald Simmons and Robert Simmons. A memorial service will be held at the housing complex at 615 Storey Blvd on Friday at 4:00 p.m. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Bridgeport Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport, NE. Contributions may be made to the Karen Simmons Memorial fund in care of Patricia Hutchison, 1306 Cosgriff Ct., Cheyenne, WY 82001.
