Katherine Greene

Katherine K. Greene, 94, of Aurora, formerly of Cheyenne died February 20, 2013 at the Heritage Club of Aurora. She was born June 30, 1918 in Billings, MT to O.C. and Ruby N. Kerney. She married Gordon Greene in 1945 in Cheyenne. She was a teacher in Cheyenne for many years, and was the church organist for the First Presbyterian Church and the First United Methodist Church.. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church Delta Kappa Gamma, Cheyenne Music Study Club and PEO Chapter AJ. Katherine was a supporter of music and the arts in Cheyenne and Denver. She contributed to the Cheyenne Symphony, the Denver Brass and many other organizations. She is survived by her children Judy (Jack) Fredericksen of Aurora, and Tim Greene of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Kevin Bailey, Kim Fredericksen, Karen Fredericksen, Julie Fredericksen and Jill Fredericksen; 2 great-grandchildren and a sister, Frances Grosshans of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Greene, a grandson, Aaron Bailey and her parents. Visitation is Thursday 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob Garrard officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
