Kathryn Edwards

Kathryn Frances (Butler) Edwards, 96, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, formerly of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday evening, June 29, 2011, at her home. Kathryn was born June 15, 1915, in Custer County, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Clayton L. and Theresa Mae (Fotchman) Butler, Jr. Kathryn was raised in Pine Bluffs and graduated from Pine Bluffs High School. Following graduation, she moved to Cheyenne where she worked in numerous secretarial positions for the State of Wyoming well into her 70s. Her interests including taking long walks and spending time with her family, particularly her numerous nieces and nephews. Kathryn is survived by two sisters, Marie Nugent of Cheyenne, and Ethel Couch of Cheyenne; a brother, George Butler and wife, Darlene, of Pine Bluffs; and nieces and nephews, Kay Butler Redding Wiedenhaft, Nancy Butler Loveland Barton McWilliams, Jim Dolan and wife, Donna, Charles "Butch" Butler, Jim Butler and wife, Linda, Jan Butler and wife, Barb, Stan Butler and wife, Karen, John Couch and wife, Barb, Leonard Couch, Theresa Couch Mahaffy Lofink, Cheryl Couch Totenhff, Kent Butler and wife, Karen, Richard Butler and wife, Julie, and Kim Butler Abe Fornstrom and husband, Leonard. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Clayton, Charles and Richard Butler; a sister, Theresa Butler; and three nieces and nephews, David Butler, Sue Dolan, and Scott Butler. At her family's request, services will be private. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy in Kathryn's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
