Kay E. Moyer, 57, of Cheyenne, died Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. Kay was born October 28, 1958, in Cheyenne, daughter of the late Richard and Geraldine (Hershey) Moyer. Kay was a graduate East High School, Class of 1977. She attended the University of Wyoming for a year and graduated from LCCC in 1979. Kay was a very active 4-H member of the South Ranchers Club for 10 years, doing many projects, being on judging teams and serving as a junior leader. She then was a 4-H leader for 39 years and served as a club leader, Laramie County Council President, State 4-H Leaders Council President, Vice Chair State Shooting Sports, County Superintendent of Sheep Show, Co-Chair of the state's 4-H 100th Celebration, and chairperson of major fundraisers. On the national level, she was on the Environmental Stewardship team. Kay is survived by sister, Rayma Rushing of Douglas; niece, Jamie Gallagher of Cheyenne; nephew, Cole Gallagher of Aliso Viejo, CA; and several cousins. A memory service will be celebrated Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A reception will follow in the Schrader Reception Center.
