Keith Hovey

Keith William Hovey, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away July 3, 2013. Keith was born in Laramie, Wyoming, on March 24, 1957. He was a 1975 graduate of Cheyenne East High School where he was Senior Class Vice President. He then graduated from Arizona State University in 1979 with a degree in Mass Communications. He was an honorary member of the National Broadcasting Society, the Phoenix Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and the Arizona State University National Honor Fraternity. Following a very successful professional career working for companies such as Advanced Energy Industries and the Phillips Corporation, he returned to his hometown in 2004. He is survived by his brother, Brad and wife,Peggy; his sister, Lisa; a nephew, Derek Hovey; a niece, Rhiannon Uhrich and husband, Kevin; and two great-nephews, Joey Hovey and Kaysen Uhrich. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Beverly Hovey. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter or a charity of choice.
