Lacey Byers

Lacey Ann (Peoples) Byers, 38, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015, at the Davis Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family. Lacey was born September 15, 1976, in Cheyenne, a daughter of Douglas Peoples and Carol (DeBoer) Ash. Lacey's priorities in life were her husband, her children and her family. Her interests included camping, traveling, snowmobiling and four-wheeling with her family. Her love for nursing began in high school as a CNA, and more recently as an RN where she enjoyed home-health care and caring for the developmentally disabled. She also earned as second degree in nutrition. Lacey is survived by her loving husband, Jay Byers; her children, Kendall and Katelynn Byers; her parents, Carol Ash and husband, Phillip; her father, Douglas Peoples; a step-father, Kenneth Wolf; a sister, Dorrie Brown; and a brother, Grady Peoples. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents. A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, February 13, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with Father Michael Carr officiating. Cremation is under the care of Schrader Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an education fund established for Lacey's children.
