Mrs. Laura "June" (Milburn) Stoner, 86, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, formerly of Hillsdale, Wyoming, passed away at her home in Cheyenne on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. June was born June 27, 1927, in Primrose, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Otto and Euretta (Robinson) Milburn. June graduated from Albion High School in Albion, Nebraska, in 1944 and moved to Hillsdale prior to her marriage to Ivan Stoner on December 14, 1946. She was a homemaker and loved caring for her husband and family. Her many interests included making quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking, refinishing furniture and making her famous cinnamon rolls. June was a faithful member of the Hillsdale Methodist Church for more than 65 years. June is survived by her loving husband, Ivan Stoner of Cheyenne, formerly of Hillsdale; four children, Kathleen Cromley and husband, Dave, Steven Stoner and wife, Carolyn, and Edwin Stoner and wife, Pat, all of Cheyenne, and Kristine Dunlap of Frederick, CO; three siblings, Wayne Milburn, Howard Milburn, and Doris Brengelman, all of Nebraska; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; two sisters; and a great-grandson, Cameron Stoner. A celebration of June's life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Schrader Chapel with Pastor Lesley Matschke officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the Schrader Reception Center. Interment will be held at a later date at the Hillsdale Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in June's memory may be made to the Hillsdale Methodist Church.
