Leatha Dyke

LEATHA M. DYKE Leatha M. Dyke, 87, of Cheyenne passed away at her home on July 25, 2011. Mrs. Dyke was born on November 29, 1923 in Arnett, OK, the daughter of Almus and Sadie (McCulloch)Shelton. On June 7, 1946 she married Franklin L. Dyke in Coldwater, KS Mrs. Dyke is survived by her husband Frank of Cheyenne, one son Al Dyke (Jerri) of Cheyenne, daughter in law Nancy Riggs of Eau Claire, WI, 2 sisters Dorothy Brown of Truth or Consequences, NM and Florence Scarborough of Searcy, AR. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. Dyke was preceded in death by her parents, one son Jim Riggs and 2 sisters Irene Thompson and Stella Pitts. Mrs. Dyke was a member of the Pythian Sisters, Rebekah Lodge, and VFW Auxiliary. She was also an artist, quilter and seamtress. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2011 at First Christian Church with Pastor Cindy White officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
