Leonard Golding, Sr.

A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Schrader Chapel with The Reverend David Stratton officiating. A private interment will follow in Beth El Cemetery. Mr. Leonard H. Golding, Sr., 74, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Saturday morning, May 22, 2010, in Cheyenne. Leonard was born on December 8, 1935, in Bluefield, West Virginia, a son of Thomas R. and Margie Dean (Thompson) Golding. He was a roofer by trade, but his true love was working at the local movie theatres as a projectionist. His love for old movies and theaters led to him work at the Paramount Theater, the Lincoln Theater and the Motor View. Leonard is survived by two sons, Thomas Golding and Leonard Golding, Jr.; one brother, Gene Golding; two grandchildren, Becky Vest and Jordan Golding; one great-grandchild; and dear friends, Monica and J.W. Balczewski. He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. Expressions of sympathy in Leonard’s memory may be made to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, 800 Southwest Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82007.
