Leonard O. McAffee, 74, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away in Lodgepole, Nebraska, on September 11, 2015. Leonard was born February 16, 1941, in Estherville, Iowa, a son of Leroy G. and Dolly D. (Stewart) McAffee. Leonard was a graduate of Cheyenne High School and later enlisted in the Wyoming Air National Guard. He married Doris Ann Whitefoot on May 6, 1966 in Lodgepole. He returned to Cheyenne where he worked in construction and also as a welder for Tri-State Steel for 14 years. He ultimately retired as a truck driver for numerous companies who contracted with the United States Postal Service to transport mail. He was a member of the Elk's Club, a recent member of the Lion's Club, volunteered at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, and delivered meals for Meals-on-Wheels. He was also a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Leonard is survived by two sons, Jason McAffee and wife, Christy, of Cheyenne, and Casey McAffee and wife, April, of Cheyenne; three brothers, Dale McAffee, Jim McAffee and Gordon McAffee; a sister, Marilyn Moody; four grandchildren, Heather, Brittany, Faith and Casey, Jr.; and one great-granddaughter, Brooke. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Doris A. McAffee; and a brother, Ted McAffee. A memory service will be celebrated on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with a reception to follow at the Schrader Reception Center. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
